Mayo Of London ft. Alex Pareene
Tuesday Apr 27, 2021
Tuesday Apr 27, 2021
This week, we're joined by The New Republic's Alex Pareene (@Pareene) to talk about extremely online mayors, and why the upcoming London Mayoral Race is filled with internet personalities who care way more about their individual grievances against Twitter and Facebook than about the cities they actually want to run. It's not just in London either! We also talk about the New York City mayoral race and how its frontrunner - former Presidential candidate Andrew Yang - has also utilised his poster's brain to amass widespread support outside of New York.
We also talk about the Kraft Mayo post and, specifically, what happens when you get so mad at a guy you've invented in your own head that you have to invent another guy to fight that guy.

Baby Brain Geniuses ft. Edward Ongweso Jr
Tuesday Apr 20, 2021
Tuesday Apr 20, 2021
On this week's pod, we're joined by Ed Ongweso (@bigblackjacobin) from the very good podcast This Machine Kills (@machinekillspod) to talk about why certain rich people who love evolutionary psychology are obsessed with designing high IQ babies whose sole purpose is to design apps for your various delivery and content streaming services. We then talk about the former British deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg - now a PR guy at Facebook- who sent out a very long memo to Facebook users telling them that if they, or their loved ones, get radicalised on the platform, it's their own fault. How does Clegg suggest people stay safe on the world's biggest social media platform? Simple: spend hours learning how Facebook's complicated and stupid User Interface works, and give more of your data to them for highly personalised ad curation. Great!

Wednesday Apr 14, 2021
In this week's bonus episode, we talk about all the Pandemic Posts that broke our brains and churned it into soup. Friend of the pod Milo Edwards (@Milo_Edwards) talks to us about all the dumb things that happened in the past year - including Sarah Vine, the wife of Michael Gove, revealing that the government minister has a bunch of race science books proudly displayed in their living room. When questioned about it, Vine also decided to talk about her husbands long schlong. This is all incredibly normal behaviour!

Posts of the Plague Year (Part One) ft. Milo Edwards
Tuesday Apr 13, 2021
Tuesday Apr 13, 2021
On our second attempt to try summarise the weirdest posts of the Coronavirus Pandemic, we enlisted friend of all the pods Milo Edwards (@Milo_Edwards) to help us remember all the things that happened.
--------
We talk about what happens when a conspiracy theorist is proven right, and how it completely messes with their sense of self. Plus, we discuss the hoarding of toilet paper and eggs - a situation that forced Hussein to buy eggs in a plastic bag from a car mechanic. He still has no idea where the eggs came from.
--------
Finally, we talk about the infamous 'Hipster Analysis' post and how it laid the groundwork for Covid-19 turning into yet another dumb culture war issue.
--------
This is part one of a two part series on the Posts of the Pandemic. You can listen to our second episode (which goes through even more dumb posts, and why it all can be linked back to the Blazin' Squad) on Patreon: www.patreon.com/10kpostspodcast.

Why So Suezious?
Tuesday Apr 06, 2021
Tuesday Apr 06, 2021
CONTENT NOTE: Since recording this episode last week, a number of allegations against Chet Hanks have come out, involving previously unknown instances of intimate partner violence. As such we retract our charmed comments and responses to Chet Hanks and do not condone, support or, indeed, endorse him. Everyone involved in this podcast stands on the side of survivors of abuse, unequivocally and unconditionally.

This episode was supposed to be about pandemic posts, but both of us were pretty tired and our brains were not good. So, instead, we talk about the Cargo ship that stuck in the Suez, and why it might have been one of the only genuinely funny things that's happened for a while. We also talk about other kinds of boats, including the boat from Purple Lamborghini, a promo for the Suicide Squad movie, in which Jared Leto, as the Joker, hangs out with Skrillex and Rick Ross. We also talk about "White Boy Summer" and have a long discussion about what boat shoes actually are, and why the 'rules and regs' of white boys summer are actually just an affront to everything friend of the pod Milo Edwards stands for.

Friday Apr 02, 2021
Did you know that cops aren't good? On this week's bonus episode, we're joined by Katie Way (@k80way) to talk about her newsletter All Cops Are Posters, which documents all the bizarre posts cops in the US are posting to express their endless victimhood complex - despite causing the vast majority of their own problems. We also talk about the story that led to 'Mommy Milky' trending, and why so many people get mad at anyone if they have a blue checkmark. Hussein will be selling his once he's figured out how to put it on the blockchain.

The Virgin Saint and the Trad Chad ft. Eleanor Janega
Tuesday Mar 30, 2021
Tuesday Mar 30, 2021
Hey, why are so many guys online getting mad about neo gothic architecture? Why are they dreaming about having a 'tradwife' to feed them snacks while they keep losing money in cryptocurrency?
This week, we're joined by good friend of the pod Eleanor Janega (@goingmedieval), a Writer and Medieval Historian who runs the blog "Going Medieval", which explores what the Middle Ages were *actually* like, rather than what gamers believe it should be.
We talk about what it means to be 'Trad' online, and how disillusionment with capitalism and modernity, along with alienation on the internet, had led to the emergence of weird Tradposting, which manifests through things like online phrenology, misunderstandings of history to 'own' someone in a debate, and new age life advice such as substituting water for eggs. You should not do this!

DESTROYED by Farce and Logic ft. John Duncan
Tuesday Mar 23, 2021
Tuesday Mar 23, 2021
This week, we're joined by friend of the show John Duncan (@johntheduncan), a Youtuber and PhD researcher in Human Rights. We talk about political content on Youtube, and in particular, how long, well researched content is struggling to cut through the overload of 'debate' style content, where a guy will shout into a podcast microphone about Antifa SJWs ruining nerd culture because of corporate sponsored feminism. Moreover, we talk about how certain Youtube creators, in their pursuit to DESTROY their opponents for content, routinely misquote and misinterpret academic literature, which has a knock-on effect on overworked and underpaid academics.
We also talk about Candance Owen's latest observation that women believe it's a sin for their husbands to make them sandwiches while revealing that she has no idea what sex actually is.

[PREVIEW] Abolish Pasta! ft. Riley Quinn
Thursday Mar 18, 2021
Thursday Mar 18, 2021
This week's bonus episode features our friend Riley (@Raaleh) from Trashfuture, The Bottlemen and Boney Island Whitefish. He talks to us about Fillippo Marinetti, a fascist, futurist poet who believed that pasta was making Italian men lazy, and that they needed to switch their diet to meat sculptures in order to fully appreciate the glory of war. While Marinetti may have been laughed at, his ideas live on in the form of Youtube channels like Epic Meal Time, Chef's Club and BuzzFeed Tasty videos : food content that clogs up your Facebook feed, that is designed not to be eaten, but to be observed and gawked at.

Men With Swords ft. Alex Kealy (@alexkealy)
Monday Mar 15, 2021
Monday Mar 15, 2021
This week, we're joined by comedian Alex Kealy to talk about what *exactly* is going on in the world of British comedy. Why are so many British stand up comedians becoming reactionary posters who can't stop getting mad about genders? And moreover, why aren't they actually that funny on the internet? Turns out, having poster's disease means you lose all sense of what a joke is, and you're also not quite sure how to deal with an audience that can't retweet you.
We also talk about the Meghan and Harry interview on Oprah, and whether it was actually Prince George who said the slur words, and Hussein recalls his ongoing battle with a small mouse who, while avoiding traps and reluctantly eating mild cheese from Aldi. Oh, and we talk about Andre Walker challenging all of ISIS to a sword fight on Tower Bridge despite being unable to hold a decorative blade properly. Andre, you're going to hurt yourself!
