We're joined again by writer and podcast host Clive Martin (@thugclive) to talk about a recent article he wrote for The Face, on digital homogeneity and the expansion of influencer aesthetics into everyones day to day lives. We talk about how influencer aesthetics that are present in almost every social experience also serves as a form of financial insurance and is often considered a safety precaution - but where the knock on effect is replicating and regenerating highly curated experiences designed to be recirculated as content. We also talk about a kind of British Guy who, while recognising the greasy pole he needs to climb to be on TV a lot, finds himself at a point of needing to decide if he should give up his entire life in order to post full time.
